The second World Supersport race of the year at the Chang International Circuit brought drama with Niki Tuuli of Kallio Racing team clinching the THIRD spot on the podium with Sheridan Morais crossing the line in seventh place.

In the WSBK, Alex Lowes, took FOURTH place at the flag and with it fourth place in the championship standings after two rounds. His Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK team mate Michal van der Mark ran out of fortune on Sunday after his good showing in the opening race on Saturday (5th), retiring after a technical issue intervened.
